For many, diving with sharks is a spiritual experience. But in all cases, it’s exciting and a little frightening. After all, for most people the only thing they know about sharks is what they hear about in the news, what they learned from the movie Jaws, and what they watch on Shark Week. Being around these powerful animals in the ocean is something you can only experience in a few places, and the memories you take home will last your lifetime.

To dive with Bull Sharks, you will need to have your Advanced certification or proof of experience in deep diving. The average depth of our Bull Shark tours reaches about 27 meters. If you don’t have that experience, we can work with you to obtain it. For example, you could complete your Advanced with us, or earn your Deep Speciality.

Bull Sharks begin arriving in November and spend the Winter with us in the area. Around March they migrate north.

Bull Sharks are among a very few species of shark that can actually swim in freshwater as well as the Ocean. The Bulls of Playa are drawn here by the constant flow of fresh water that leaves the many Cenotes along the coast and the plentiful food sources.

Yes, we can provide you everything you need to go on this dive. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own gear.

No. We know where they go, so we will take a boat out to those locations and drop down to see them. We strongly believe in conserving wildlife and protecting all marine species, therefore, we do not participate in any feed or bait based shark diving activities.
