REACT RIGHT INSTRUCTOR COURSE

First Aid, CPR, AED, and O2 Provider Instructor Certification

The SSI React Right Instructor Seminar (similar to PADI’s Emergency First Response) is intended to provide candidates with everything they need to know to instruct, supervise, and issue certifications for each aspect of the React Right program. This includes First Aid, CPR. AED, and Emergency Oxygen administration. As a React Right instructor, you will be allowed to teach each portion individually, as a combination of the parts, or all together in a single course.

Requirements

To enroll in a React Right Instructor Course, you must meet the following prerequisite:

  • Minimum age of 18 years or older; and
  • Must be an active status Assistant Instructor; or
  • Be a current medical professional (e.g. EMT, Paramedic, nurse, or physician); or
  • Currently hold an equivalent instructor certification from a recognized agency (ie., a Scuba Diving Agency, Red Cross, American Heart Association, et cetera.)

Prior to certification, each candidate must complete an SSI Dive Professional Universal Application. All candidates participating in professional level training must have digital copies of the following documents uploaded into their MySSI account before certification may be issued:

  • RSTC Medical Statement signed by a physician within one (1) year
  • Proof of CPR training within two (2) years
  • Proof of First Aid training within two (2) years
  • Proof of Oxygen First Aid training within (2) years

If you do not currently hold these certifications, they can be completed on site with us prior to beginning the React Right Instructor Course. Please speak with an instructor in advance before signing up to the program, as this additional training will need to be arranged beforehand.

Required RSTC Medical Questionnaire Form

Please download and complete the following form. You need to answer all questions relevant to you with a “Yes” or “No” answer; do not write “Y” or “N” or check items off. It must then be counter signed by a licensed physician. If you are cleared for training, you will be admitted to the program. You may send a photo/scan of the form when you sign up, but you must bring the original for us to verify.

* Note: If you do not have a PDF reader application, you may download it from Adobe directly here.
